Lure Saltwater
nobody knows what kind of bait and lure is best for saltwater?
We are new on the coast of Ga and live on a river is brackish and then goes to all salt. I need to know what kind of fish is very popular in these waters (salt and water brackish) and what are the best lures and baits to use. We are usually 25-40 "in the salt or anywhere from 5 'to 20' in the brackish. Also, I hear so many people talk about when is the best time for fishing it is so difficult to know what's good and evil. I am a girl and I like to fish on our boat, but I do not know these waters, I am in serious need all the advice you can give the lure / bait to the line, type of fish here, the time of day, etc.. Sounds like you are near or in the salt marshes there. There are plenty of fish to have in these places. Redfish and sea trout is the most common fish after Many go. I would suggest you start here http://georgiawildlife.dnr.state.ga.us/content/displaynavigation.asp?TopCategory=3 so that you have a better understanding the first zone. You can also get maps and other info on the link in place. As for Live Bait, I suggest live shrimp and if they are there, the finger mullet. These two baits will catch everything that swims and make a great day fishing. As for lures, I suggest you look in your local store and see what moves. There are tons of lures (redfish magic, spoons, topwaters, jigs and so on), but you want it becomes low. So start there, but here's a tip .. check with the local population in the first store before asking the guy or girl behind the counter. From there, you can very well compare and get what you need. Regarding the best time to fish, you are fishing in shallow water pretty deep. This water warms faster than the day passes. You are the best chances early in the morning and would be the evening before dark. Use insect repellent containing DEET because it is very bad for you and ruin your day. You should also keep an eye on oil .. do not get stuck on a low tide on shallow water. Look in the area during high tide and find the holes. What are your fishing when the tide begins to fall. Write take a picture, just do what you have to mark this area because these fish hold spots at low tide and act as ambush points for the fish. Free Online shrimp or mullet on the hole and hold it.
